Show Your Pride

Pride month is finally here and we can not wait to get out there and show our support for the LGBTQ+ community! One of the easiest ways to do this is by strutting your stuff in a rainbow outfit so we've rounded up some of our favourite rainbow pieces from for you guys. Check out our top rainbow picks below and get out there and show your colours in support of Pride.

Of course, Pride is not all about parties and rainbows, there's a serious side to it and even in these progressive and liberal times, Pride is very much needed. To read more about why we need Pride in 2018, check out the blog post we did on it last year here.

The Ultimate Icon

In our eyes, the biggest 90s style icon will forever be Kelly Kapowski. There wasn't a girl in the 90s who didn't want Kelly's wardrobe (or her boyfriend) and here at Nine Crows we have PLENTY of Kelly-inspired pieces to help you live out your childhood fashion dreams. Channel major Kelly vibes in one of our printed dresses or two pieces, or rock a pair of our printed shorts for a very Kapowski-esque look. Maybe you can't choose between Kelly or her Saved by the Bell castmates, if so, get 'so excited' for a Jessie-inspired headscarf or a tie-dye shirt a la Lisa Turtle. And becuase our Irish summers are usually more dreary than dreamy, cosy up in one of our cute printed cardigans, just like Kelly (unfortunately you have to find your own Zack Morris).

Nine Crows Guide to Electric Picnic

Nine Crows Guide to Electric Picnic

It's finally time for one of our favourite festivals of the year, Electric Picnic! Whether you're a first time festival goer or a seasoned EP visitor, we've put together a little guide for you guys to check out to help you find the best things to be doing down in Stradbally. Enjoy guys!

What To Do

 Photo from

Theatre of Food: Food is one of our favourite bits of a festival and EP never disappoints when it comes to the culinary side of things. From the lads at The Happy Pear to sushi king Takashi Miyazaki, there’s something for everyone, with there even being an actual picnic to enjoy at The Picnic. Fáilte Ireland Food Champions is putting on the longest picnic in Ireland on the Saturday afternoon with hampers full of food and prosecco so if you need a bit of chill time after dancing, you know where to head.

Photo from
The Hazel Wood: The Hazel Wood is known as the place to go at EP for some chilled out vibes and entertainment. The Gaiety School of Acting will be there, for an immersive storytelling of Irish mythology as will Strive Theatre, who are putting on their much loved black comedy ‘Will It Fit in the Van,’ which centres around topics such as kidnapping, murder, cocaine and biscuits. Also be sure to check out Boombox Nation, for an NYC street party vibe, complete with breakdancers and graffiti artists, in the middle of Stradbally.

 Photo from

The Comedy Tent: Always a fave at EP, the comedy tent has some huge names this year, including Never Mind The Buzzcock’s Bill Bailey, Irish fave Al Porter and Australian comic Damian Clark. The Rubberbandits will also be in attendance as will the Dublin Comedy Improv troupe. So whether you want to laugh till your stomach hurts or simply relax, away from the madness of the main stage, head to the Comedy Tent.

 Photo from

The Full Moon Party: Just Eat are bringing a taste of Thailand to Stradbally and throwing the first ever Full Moon party at the festival. They’re bringing over 200 tonnes of real sand, deckchairs, palm trees and even have an ocean (on a big screen but still). There’ll be neon body paint and spice bags galore so if you want a taste of the tropics, be sure to check this out!
Photo from

Body and Soul: Body and Soul is returning to EP along with their collection of musicians, poets, artists and performers. There’s plenty to do, including the Immerse Spa Experience where you can nurse hungover heads in a hot tub, a dance hall full of Blues and Jazz if you fancy a step back in time or, for the fancy guys and gals, try a new take on High Tea at the Tiny Tea Tent. No matter what you’re after, the Body and Soul village has something there to please everyone.

Who To See

 Photo from

The XX: The Indie three piece are returning for the second year at Electric Picnic for their second time as headliners and are definitely not one to be missed. The band released their third album ‘I See You’ earlier this year, with heavy influence from band member Jamie XX’s hugely successful solo record ‘In Colour,’ so if it’s a chilled, electronic vibe and incredible vocals you’re after, make sure you catch them on the Friday night.

Photo from
A Tribe Called Quest: New York natives A Tribe Called Quest have been around since the 1980s and are one of the most loved hip hop groups around. They’re well known for paving the way for a new branch of alternative hip hop, mixing traditional hip hop with other sounds such as jazz. Make sure you catch them on the Saturday night so you can witness their magic in person.

Photo from
Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics Performed By The Heritage Orchestra: Pete Tong is one of the most legendary names in dance music and on the Saturday he’s teaming up with The Heritage Orchestra and conductor and conductor Jules Buckley to perform a new twist on classic dance anthems. If the success of Jenny Greene and the RTE Concert Orchestra from last year is anything to go by, this will be one of the biggest performances of the weekend.

 Photo from

Sunil Sharpe: Sunil Sharpe has played at the likes of Berghain, Fabric and Tresor so you know his set at Electric Picnic will be mind blowing stuff. He has his own style of DJ’ing which has established him as one of the biggest names in techno and has been teaching his techniques and music production in the Bray Institute of Further Education for years so if you want some quality tunes from a techno legend, take note of Sunil Sharpe as a must-see.

 Photo from

Rejjie Snow: Rejjie Snow is one of the biggest names in the Irish hip hop scene and we are v excited to catch him at EP this year. His first release, ‘Rejovich’ in 2013, topped the iTunes hip hop chart, beating the likes of Kanye West to the top. He’s set to release his first studio album this year and if his past work is anything to go by, it’s gonna be absolutely unreal. Swing by and see him so you can see what all the fuss is about.

Also be sure to stop by the Play the Picnic stage where you can see some of the very best emerging Irish talent, including Munky, Scoops, Neon Atlas and Cranky Face.

Make sure to come say hey to us in the Trailer Park where we'll be selling the finest festival threads every day from 12-9!

Last Minute Longitude Picks

Last Minute Longitude Picks

Longitude is fast approaching and we can't wait! Fashion is one of our favourite parts of the festival season and we love picking out fab outfits to party in but sometimes it can be hard to find the perfect festival accessories, so to help you guys out, we've gathered some of our fave accessories in the store to give you some Longitude style inspo. Enjoy!

For those of you going for a more rock chick look, try out our leather choker and our unreal new octagon sunnies! Match your glitter to one of our gorge bandana bikini's and you're good to go.

There's so many ways to wear our gorge silk scarves, go for a classic look and tie it around your neck, loop it through your belt or tie it in your hair and pair with one of our fab chokers and funky heart shaped sunglasses. Total festi-babe!

We're obsessed with the Wild Thoughts video here at Nine Crows and we get major festival vibes from RiRi's outfit in it. We think our bandanas, glasses and bamboo hoops are perfect for a Rihanna inspired festival look, just add some fishnet socks and cute henna tattoos for even more festival vibes!

We love the idea of mixing bindis and bikinis for a festival look. Add in some rainbow chokers and rose tinted glasses and you'll look as if you just stepped off the set of a 90s music video, which sounds like festi-goals to us.

How CUTE is this little pink scarf? We think it looks amazing tied around a classic pair of denim shorts for a gorge boho festival look. All you need is some sunnies and a statement piece of jewellery for the perfect festival outfit. Just don't forget your matching glitter!

Speaking of glitter, we have plenty here in store! Use our white glitter for a fab inner corner highlight, give yourself some blue glitter roots or maybe a pink glitter lip? Check out the pics below for some inspo.
